KNOCKLYON PARISH – CHANGES TO MASS TIMES
Over the past number of months, The Parish Pastoral Council and the parish clergy have been examining the number of masses in the church.
Since the pandemic, the level of attendance at masses on Sundays has declined significantly across the Diocese and Knocklyon is no exception.
We have therefore decided that from the beginning of the new church year – the first Sunday in Advent, we will be combining the 9.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. masses on Sunday mornings with a single mass at 9.30 a.m. The hope is that by adopting a 9.30 a.m. mass it will cause least inconvenience to those who currently attend the current masses.
Therefore, from the weekend of 26th/ 27th November the mass times will be as follows:
Saturday 26th - 7.00 p.m. (no change )
Sunday 27th - 9.30 a.m. and 12 noon.
The weekday 10.00 a.m. mass continues as normal.
We hope this change will not cause too much inconvenience for parishioners.
